Tongits (sometimes spelled Tong-its or Tongits Go in its digital form) is a three-player Filipino card game that draws from rummy mechanics. It is played with a standard 52-card deck, and the goal is simple: get rid of all your cards before your opponents do. Players form melds — sets of three or more cards of the same rank, or runs of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit — and discard strategically until one player empties their hand or the draw pile runs out.
Unlike international rummy variants, Tongits has a distinctly Filipino twist. A player can win outright by going Tongits — playing their last card in one turn — or by having the lowest total point count when the draw pile is exhausted. Players can also challenge each other mid-game through the Fight mechanic, forcing a comparison of hand values before the natural end of the game.
